NCA Membership Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“TOS”) govern NCA membership, including terms of access to, and use of NCA resources. Access to NCA Member resources, tools, research, and directories is available to NCA members in good standing. Any violation of this TOS may result in the termination of the Member Organization’s membership in the NCA, with no refund of dues or fees.

Authorized Users are individuals who are full-time employees of a member organization. Authorized Users may not provide their member login information for the NCA website to any other individuals, nor authorize others outside their NCA Member Organization to use information obtained from, or distribute, assign or transfer any information to any organization or individual outside their NCA Member Organization.

NCA resources, directories, research and other items produced by the NCA are the sole property of the NCA. Except for uses within your own organization, these materials may not be forwarded, reproduced, re-recorded, extracted, fed into large language models (LLM) or AI software, manipulated or published in any manner or format including, but not limited to, print, photocopy, electronic or digital copy, sharing or publishing on social media or with Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms, unless you have specific permission from the NCA for such use.

By downloading and utilizing NCA industry technical and educational resources (including, but not limited to webinars, summary and guidance documents, Member Alerts, National Coffee Data Trends (NCDT) reports, etc.) you confirm that you have carefully read, understand, and agree to these terms and conditions. These materials are property of the NCA and are licensed only for use within the organization that is an NCA member. Contact NCA at info@ncausa.org for any questions or to add employees to your organizational membership.

NCA Member Directory

The NCA Member Directory allows individuals employed by NCA Member Organizations (“Authorized Users”) to build relationships with existing and prospective clients and grow their business.

The NCA makes no representations or warranties regarding any such person or entity (or the related information) listed in the NCA Member Directory, and any information made available through the NCA Member Directory is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without warranty of any kind.

Permission to access and use the information contained in the Member Directory is restricted to individuals who are currently employed by NCA member organizations.

The NCA Member Directory may not, in whole or in part, be reproduced, copied, disseminated, entered into a computer database, large language models or AI or used as part of or in connection with a mailing list. The NCA Member Directory may not be utilized for the promotion of events, seminars, conferences, and training, without the advance permission of the NCA. The information in the NCA Member Directory may not be used to conduct mass mailing marketing activities (spamming) to the membership, and such use will be deemed a violation of the terms and conditions of this TOS and may subject the NCA member who obtained contact information from the NCA Member Directory for such use to revocation of NCA membership and/or membership privileges.

The NCA Member Directory may not be used to send any information and materials which violate or infringe the rights of the NCA and others, or which is threatening, harassing, abusive, defamatory, libelous, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, vulgar, obscene, profane, or otherwise objectionable, contains injurious instructions, which encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law or is otherwise determined by the NCA in its judgement to violate community standards.

NCA Industry Technical and Educational Resources

NCA sample plans, guidelines, and technical documents are provided for educational purposes and as generalized examples only; each organization must adapt these materials to implement them in a way that reflects their own specific operation. The purpose of these NCA materials is to provide insights and technical information for potential conditions and circumstances that could reasonably be encountered by NCA members. As the NCA cannot know the particular circumstances of each and every coffee operation, the content provided is for informational and educational purposes only and is not intended as legal advice or specific technical guidance for a particular situation, but rather an informed starting point for the creation of specific plans, programs, and safeguards unique to each facility and process, which should be developed with the advice and guidance of appropriate professionals and subject matter experts. The NCA makes no warranty of legal applicability or compliance.

NCA National Coffee Data Trends (NCDT)

Access to the National Coffee Data Trends (NCDT) Reports and Interactive Dashboard are provided to NCA members who purchase the NCDT Market Research Series. Access becomes active with your NCDT Market Research Series purchase and terminates upon release of the NCDT the following year. Purchase of the following year’s NCDT Market Research Series will be accompanied by new access privileges requiring newly assigned login credentials. Login credentials are strictly for use by the organization/individual to which they have been assigned and may be revoked at any time for user misuse of access privileges. Only NCA members are eligible to receive access to the full NCDT Market Research Series, including Interactive Dashboard and other materials that NCA may choose to include as part of NCDT Market Research Series.

Organizations or individuals who chose not to become NCA members, or are not eligible for NCA membership may purchase either or both of the NCDT Spring or Fall Reports, and select other publications that NCA may choose to make available to non-members.

Third Party Scientific Research

As a general matter, NCA does not have funding available for third party grants, research projects, or other such work. On occasion, NCA may fund third party research as may be necessary to support scientific questions or data needs, such as related to food or workplace safety; and make the results of these studies available as a resource for members. When funding scientific research, we do not support animal-based studies.
