U.S. Tariffs on Coffee Imports by Country of Origin
Early in 2025, President Trump began to impose tariffs on imported goods as a key trade policy tool to achieve the administration’s goals. In many cases, imports of coffee and coffee products were impacted by tariffs.
Tariffs have differed by product, product origin, tariff program, and date of implementation.
In the wake of President Trump’s November 14, 2025, Executive Order that removed certain tariffs (reciprocal tariffs) on a variety of coffee imports, the NCA compiled a table that notes:
- the status of coffee and tariffs by country of origin
- the impact of country-specific trade agreements
- which specific coffee lines were impacted by removal of the reciprocal tariffs
