Mark Corey, Ph.D., is the NCA Director of Scientific & Government Affairs.

Prior to joining the NCA, Mark (a licensed Q-Arabica coffee grader) was most recently Director of Product Development in cold brew coffee for Heartland Food Products Group, Inc. He also worked in various product development and technical roles at Keurig Green Mountain, Inc. and directed external innovation research with the University of California, Davis.

Mark has also developed products for NASA astronauts to shuttle to Mars in the event of human colonization. And just as cool, in 2017 he was awarded the NCA Volunteer of the Year Award for his many contributions to coffee scientific programming and the NCA Scientific Advisory Group as former chair.
