2025 Winner: Root Capital

The NCA named Root Capital as the 2025 NCA Origin Charity of the Year in recognition of their work to grow rural prosperity and build the resilience of farming families around the world. Root Capital helps coffee cooperatives succeed and scale by combining financing and capacity-building advisory services. To date, Root Capital has loaned over $2 billion to over 800 agricultural enterprises, and trained twice as many, helping more than 2.3 million farming families across Latin America, Africa, and Indonesia.
