RESPONSIBILITES

  • Ensures that the daily production schedule is achieved, safely and efficiently and that outputs meet established specifications. Manages the Shift Supervisors and Shift Leads to accomplish these goals.
  • Ensures worker compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSSC 22000 (Food Safety Standards) and FDA (Food Drug Administration) requirements.
  • Leads the day-to-day operation of the Cherry Hill Plant. Overcomes routine production and personnel issues as necessary with minimal support.
  • Leads, promotes, motivates, and develops employees and is a role model regarding our leadership principles and our values.
  • Oversees Daily Management Reporting and our Shop Floor Communication efforts.
  • Oversees Plant Floor and Facility Maintenance Program.
  • Documents and analyzes daily production outputs to ensure goals are consistently met.
  • Works with the “Training, Safety and Environmental” Specialist to ensure plant employees have the skills required to perform job tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Ensures and maintains a continuous flow of product within the plant to maximize machine utilization and personnel effectiveness.
  • Works with Plant Purchasing to help ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Works with Plant Logistics to ensure an orderly flow of materials in/out of the building.
  • Shares ideas for improving our operational effectiveness with the Cherry Hill Management Team on an ongoing basis, based on a thorough understanding and analysis of plant issues/challenges.
  • Recommends, supports, and helps implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize results and improve delivery quality.
  • Supports Process Improvement Initiatives.
  • Acts as a Liaison with Human Resources, Engineering and Quality Departments.
  • Participates in the Recruiting and Selection of hourly staff / supervisors when required.
  • Direct Reports include Maintenance Supervisor, Floor Supervisors and Shift Leads.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-Year Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Science, Math and/or Operations Management preferred)
  • 8 + years of Production Management in the food or packaging industry
  • 5 + years of Managerial or Supervisory experience
  • 3 + years of Project Management
  • Good knowledge of food industry standards (GMPs and Food Safety Standards)
  • Coffee Manufacturing Experience a plus
  • SAP Experience Preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
