Science-Based Oversight

Navigating food safety, environmental and nutritional legislation and regulation is an important corollary of NCA’s Scientific Affairs program. In this regard, committee members engage and apply their scientific expertise to understanding the parameters and applications of regulations from governments and organizations around the world, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Canada, the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) and the United Nations’ and World Health Organization’s food safety organization, Codex Alimentarius (CODEX).
