Tentative Agreement Reached in Port Labor Talks
|
Updated: March 11, 2013 New York longshoremen represented by the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) have reportedly reached a tentative six-year labor agreement with the New York Shipping Association (NYSA). This development is important since a tentative agreement on a new six-year Master Contract passed last month was made contingent on agreements with local unions including those at the Port of New York/ New Jersey. |
